Providing youth with essential items when they first enter foster care, including but not limited to; clothing, toiletries, toys, bedding, books school supplies etc.
Foster Closet
Providing youth with essential items while they are in foster care, as their needs change, or seasons change.
NAS Infant Kit
A kit specifically designed for infants diagnosed with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome to assist with regulation and soothing of the infant. The heart of this program is the MamaRoo swing, which we offer on a loaner program.

Aging Out
Support
Supporting youth as they transition out of foster care by providing support and resources needed to thrive and succeed.
Program includes care packages throughout the year, and the Moving Forward Grant.
Caregiver Support & Education
Supporting those that care for our local foster youth by providing support groups, trainings, and special events.
Support groups currently include Kinship Care, Special Needs Resources, Foster/Adoptive Parent groups.
Car Seat Safety
Program
Currently this program is funded by Landfall Foundation to serve New Hanover, Pender & Brunswick Counties.
This program provides new car seats to caregivers who complete a child safety seat course and/or have the car seat installed by a Certified Technician.

Holiday
Togetherness Box
Since 2019 we have provided Holiday Family Boxes to your families. These boxes are filled with Holiday activities that the families can enjoy together during the holiday season.
Easter Baskets
Providing Easter Baskets to our caregiver families These baskets are stuffed with activities, toys, novelties, and candy!
Fostering the Heart Moms Retreat
In 2022 we held our first foster mom retreat, providing a night out for our local foster moms. We look forward to growing this event in the coming years.
Moving Forward Grant
Providing assistance for youth who are seniors in high school or have aged out of foster care. Funds can be used for college expenses, living expenses, emergency needs, or anything needed to help them reach a goal or obtain employment.
Back to School
Bookbags have been a part of our programs since the beginning. In 2022 the youth were able to not only shop for a bookbag and supplies, but they also shopped fa NEW outfit, pair of shoes, socks and underwear.
Visits with Santa
2021 featured our 1st Annual Visits with Santa! Families enjoyed crafts, wrote letters to santa and enjoyed cookies and presents with Santa! Visits were sensory and trauma friendly allowing families to enjoy the experience. We can not wait till Santa returns!
COMING SOON
Caregiver Library & Book Club
Providing caregivers and youth in foster care with books on foster care, adoption and other topics that affect our foster care community. Providing book clubs where they can discuss those topic with others in similar situations.
Birthday Box
We hope to make birthdays a little extra special by providing a birthday box filled with gifts, decorations, cake mix & more.
Respite Assistance
One of the biggest needs in our foster care community is respite care. We hope to be able to assist with this need by providing a respite care service.
